Use of the ground and pavilion is encouraged, whether through an organised group, a one-off hiring for a celebration, or just as somewhere to enjoy peace and quiet.

Regardless of how the facilities are used be aware that;

  • Fernhurst Recreation Ground Trust accepts no liability for loss or injury whilst on our premises. All vehicles are parked at their owner’s own risk.
  • Dogs are welcome both on the grounds and inside the pavilion, but must be kept under control at all times. Owners are requested to ensure that they pick up all deposits left by their animals and dispose of them appropriately in the dog bin provided.
  • Parking at the recreation ground car park is provided for those that use the ground and its facilities. Should there be no space in the car park, there is an alternative car park in the centre of the village. If parking on the roadside, please be mindful of other road users, pedestrians and residents. For larger events parking may be allowed on the grass areas, but this will be specifically announced in advance, or signposted on the day. Parking is not permitted on the grass areas at any other time and the bottom gate is not for public vehicle access. The Recreation Ground Trust does not accept any liability for damage or theft caused to vehicles or their contents when parked on Trust property.

The organised sports based at the ground are; tennis, football, and cricket.

To hire the ground or pavilion drop an email to bookings@fernhurstpavilion.org.uk, beforehand have a look at what events and activities are currently planned. Bear in mind that what is already planned could be adjusted to accommodate you. It is always worth asking.

As well as the ground not being used for gain or trade without permission there are a few restrictions as to what can or cannot be done on the ground. To find out how to obtain permission or what the restrictions may be click here.
